DESCRIPTION:Entries Close:  Monday\, October 7\, 2019 11:59:59 PM Eastern Time(ET) on Hunt Secretary \nJudges:  Trent Bosse and Rick Shively\n  \nThe English Springer Spaniel Club of Eastern Nebraska engaged the services of the extension agency in the Gage County area of Nebraska for our trial grounds. We were fortunate enough to have the individual who retired from the position\, the individual in office who will be retiring in a year\, and the individual who is being trained for the future. We had them walk with our club representatives to identify Grasses On the fields we use and perimeter areas. The group identified two small areas of Canada Wildrye (Elymus canadensis L.) that we are able to hand pull and dispose of before the trial. We are proud to say that our trial fields are clear and we have a very low exposure to any risks with grass awns and mean seeds. \nOur Club continues to be advocates to minimize the risk to our dogs and maintaining good stewardship of the land. We are working with Landowners to understand the issues and plant appropriate foliage in the future. We look forward to our fellow Dog Trialer’s attending and enjoying the beautiful grasslands of Nebraska. \nThe Fall 2019 trial marks our 50 year milestone. See you in October!
