Lefty is a big, athletic, hard-charging young male with tremendous upside for the serious field trialer or avid upland hunter looking for a competitive prospect with power, style, and drive. Standing around 60–63 pounds, he is a strong, substantial dog with excellent range, a fantastic nose, and endless enthusiasm in the field.
Currently steady to wing and shot, Lefty has just begun his field trial career and continues to train and compete while available. He is presently with Section 35 Gundogs in North Dakota and will remain in professional training until sold.
This is a dog with serious “go-go juice.” Because of his intensive drive, he will do best with an experienced handler who appreciates a powerful running dog and can channel his energy productively.
In addition to his field ability, Lefty is an affectionate, people-oriented dog with a goofy, lovable personality in the house. He is house broke, kennel broke, current on vaccinations, and has experience on wild pheasants as well as in field trial competition. While he can live comfortably in a kennel setup, he truly enjoys being part of the household and would thrive as an inside companion as well.
There is absolutely nothing wrong with this dog. Due solely to my personal medical circumstances, I need to reduce numbers and make difficult decisions regarding several dogs. Lefty is unquestionably one of the nicest started young dogs we currently have available and represents an excellent opportunity for someone looking for a talented young Springer with both hunting and field trial potential.
Full Disclosure:
As part of Raiden’s first litter, there was an unfortunate whelping accident at birth in which she inadvertently removed Lefty’s two inner toes on his right rear paw while breaking the sac. This has not affected his mobility, running ability, or overall performance in any way — he moves naturally and does not appear to notice the difference himself. We simply want to be completely transparent and upfront with any prospective buyer.
