We are planning a big event to commemorate this milestone in Springer Spaniel Field Trial history.
The trial will be held in Elmira NY and will consist of 3 series plus a judged water series by 2 nationally recognized judges, Jeff Miler and David Jones.
A national ranked gun team will be shooting the trial, led by Gun Captain Marshall Lussen. Bird planting will be led by 9 time National bird planter Don Manning and Head Marshall Deb Olszewski. Photographer Venee Gardner will be there to capture all the moments.
All placements will receive ribbons and commemorative trophies. A photographer will be there to capture all the action and of this historic event.
The grounds are free from mean seed and have been groomed over the last 3 years.
There will be a meet-and-greet Wednesday 10/23 the night before the trial starts as well as a banquet the night after the first series 10/24. An awards presentation will follow after the water series (after the 3rd series is completed. Late afternoon, early evening) at which Hors d’oeuvres and cocktails will be available 10/26 for all to celebrate.
We are anticipating a big turnout for the event of 100 plus dogs for both the Open and Amateur combine. Therefore, we will be running alternating stakes. Day 1 will be the 1st series of the Open and Amateur. Day 2 will be the 2nd series of the Open and Amateur followed by the puppy stake. Day 3 will be the 3rd series of the Open and Amateur followed by the water series.
Come and join us at this historic event with the last opportunity to have your name and your dog’s name on this memorable trophy, rich in the heritage of our sport!
