Edward R. DeGroff 1923 – 2010

I wanted to let the field trial world know of the passing of my father Edward R. DeGroff. He passed away May 25, 2010. (3/05/23-5/25/10).

Many people knew him from all the traveling and trials we attended. He was usually shagging dogs (when he was a little younger) or watching as much as he could. He made many friends in the field trial community over the years that he always cherished. Ed loved all Spaniels and gave me my start in the dog business! He still hunted pheasants and grouse in MT last year and shot a mule deer with a muzzleloader at the age of 86.

May he give us all inspiration!

There will be no formal service since that was not his style. His ashes will be scattered by his favorite big Brown trout hole of the South Platte River in CO.

A Memorial fund in his honor has been set up with the new Spaniel club in CO. Donations in his name may be sent to:

Thanks,

Tim DeGroff
