2024 NOC Scholarship Program

The ESSFTA NOC will award up to three educational scholarships in 2024 to help English
Springer Spaniel Field Trialers, their children and grandchildren with the costs associated with higher education.

Purpose

  • Assist English Springer Spaniel Field Trialers and/or their children or grandchildren with costs associated with their higher education by granting 1-3 education scholarships/year in the amount of $500.00 each.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Student, or their parent or grandparent participated in ESS Field Trials (E.G., as
    competitor, gunner, planter, field trial chair, or field trial secretary) or served as a club officer in an AKC recognized ESS club, as an Inter-club chair, or a NOC officer within the past 3 years.
  • Student is enrolled full time in an accredited community college, college, or university and is pursuing a postsecondary degree (associate, baccalaureate or post-baccalaureate) or certificate, or is enrolled in an apprenticeship program and pursuing trade certification or licensing.
  • Student displays evidence of leadership, engages in volunteer activities, and exhibits potential for a successful career. Student has a demonstrated financial need.

Process

  • Applications must be submitted no later than June 1, 2024.
  • Applications will be reviewed by the Scholarship Review Committee (made up of one representative from each of the five regions), who will make award decisions
    NOC President will notify applicants of award decisions no later than August 1, 2024
