The Rogue Valley Sporting Spaniel Club is a new club, gaining AKC affiliation in 2021, based in beautiful Southwestern Oregon.  Our Club welcomes and encourages those with all breeds and types of upland field dogs. Our membership includes people with experience competing in Spaniel Hunt Tests and Field Trials, those just learning about the game, and those whose primary focus is upland game hunting.

We are a non-profit organization whose mission is to further the advancement of spaniel field trial and hunting test breeds by:

  • Encouraging and supporting the training of spaniel field trial and hunting test breeds
  • Hosting Spaniel Hunt Tests and Field Trials to test the talent and training of spaniels and other flushing dogs, and encouraging sportsmanlike conduct at such events
  • Promoting the training and continuing education of spaniel field trial and hunting test judges

We hold weekly training days focused on dogs and handlers that are brushing up their skills for the next Hunt Test, Field Trial, or hunt as well as bimonthly training sessions for young dogs and new handlers working on building foundation skills.  We hope to host our first Hunt Test in Spring 2022, and to add Cocker and Springer Field Trials the following year.  Check out our Facebook Group if you are interested in supporting or learning more about the club’s activities.  We’d love to have you join  our club!
